2026 Chevrolet Traverse Trims South Jersey

Compare the 2026 Traverse LT, Z71, High Country and RS on price, wheels, seating and features, and find the trim that fits your South Jersey family.

The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse comes in four trims: LT, Z71, High Country and RS. Every one runs the same 328-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and 8-speed automatic, so choosing a trim is about drivetrain, equipment and style, not engine. This page breaks down each trim, lines them up side by side, and points to the sweet spot for most South Jersey families. Prices are base MSRP and exclude destination freight, tax, title, license and dealer fees.

Trim-by-Trim Breakdown

LT: $40,800, the value trim

The LT is the volume seller and the only Traverse that seats eight, thanks to a no-cost second-row bench. Standard equipment is generous: heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8-way power driver's seat, the 17.7-inch touchscreen, a hands-free power liftgate, a Smart Slide second row, roof rails, the trailering package and Chevy Safety Assist. Cloth upholstery keeps the price down, front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive adds about $2,000. For a family that wants three rows without stretching the budget, the LT covers it.

Z71: $48,900, standard all-wheel drive

The Z71 is the off-road-flavored trim and the only Traverse with standard all-wheel drive. It adds an off-road-tuned suspension, 7.8 inches of ground clearance, a front skid plate, red recovery hooks, a Terrain drive mode, Hill Descent Control and rugged Evotex synthetic-leather seats on 18-inch all-terrain tires. It seats seven. For South Jersey buyers who see snow on I-295 or want a more capable stance, the Z71 builds all-weather traction into the price.

High Country: $55,100, the comfort flagship

The High Country is the comfort-focused top trim. It brings genuine leather, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, a power front-passenger seat, a power steering column, ambient lighting and chrome exterior trim, plus power-folding second and third rows on 22-inch machined wheels. Super Cruise hands-free driving is standard here. It seats seven and aims at buyers who want a near-luxury cabin without leaving the Chevrolet lineup.

RS: $55,400, the sport flagship

The RS lists just above the High Country and tops the range as the sport-styled trim. It swaps the chrome for a blackout grille, black roof rails and RS badging, adds red interior accents and a flat-bottom steering wheel, and includes a standard panoramic sunroof and standard Super Cruise on 22-inch gloss-black wheels. It seats seven. Treat the RS and High Country as a style choice at the same price point, sport versus comfort, not a step up or down.

Verdict

The Traverse Value Verdict and Step-Up Guide

For most families the LT is the value sweet spot: it is the only trim that seats eight, it already includes heated seats, the big screen and the trailering package, and adding all-wheel drive for about $2,000 covers South Jersey winters. Step up to the Z71 if you want all-wheel drive built in with real off-road hardware. The jump to the High Country or RS is about materials and standard Super Cruise, not capability, and those two are priced together as a comfort-versus-sport pick.
